The TE Connectivity SBC (Square Ceramic) series are through hole, power wirewound resistors. These resistors are wound on continuous glass fibre elements or have a ceramic core depending on resistance value. The element is housed in a ceramic case and sealed with inorganic silica filler. Their construction gives a resistor with high insulation resistance and low surface temperature, capable of withstanding high overload currents. These resistors are ideally suited to a variety of applications within industrial and commercial environments where performance and reliability are of prime importance. The SBC series resistors are mainly used in fan force ovens, cooker hoods, power supplies and triac based speed control applications.
  • Resistance value ranges from 0.2ohm to 22Kohm
  • Maximum power rating of 17W
  • Available in ±5% and ±10% tolerance
  • Temperature coefficient is 200ppm/°C (400ppm/°C below 18ohm)
  • Operating temperature of -55°C to +350°C
  • Vertical or axial mounting style
  • Fusible style, non flammable
  • Special solvent resistance
