Product Overview
ADL6331ACCZB-R7 is a transmit variable gain amplifier that provides an interface from RF digital-to-analogue converters (RF DACs) to a singled-ended power amplifier (PA) signal chain. Each ADL6331 IC is composed of a balun, two differential RF amplifiers with bypass attenuators, and a digital step attenuator (DSA) to provide suitable transmitter performance. A serial-port interface (SPI) control is available to configure RF signal paths or to optimize supply current vs. performance. Applications include aerospace and defence, instrumentation and test equipment, communication systems.
- Optimizes common-mode rejection of RF-DAC, even-order harmonics, and intermodulation
- 50 ohm differential inputs and 50 ohm single-ended output
- Integrated broadband RF output balun, fully programmable through a 3- or 4-wire SPI
- Asynchronous toggle between multiple predefined attenuation values and bypass amplifier stages
- Single 3.3V supply, 200ns typ switching time at (1.0dB step via ATTSEL pins)
- 0.38 to 8.0GHz frequency range, input impedance is 50 ohm typ at (differential)
- Differential nonlinearity (DNL) is 0.16LSB typical at (TA = 25°C)
- Power supply current is 80mA typ at (full fixed gain mode, V33AMP1A, 3.3V supply)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C
- 24-lead LGA package
