Product Overview
HMC624A is a 6bit digital attenuator with a 31.5dB attenuation control range in 0.5dB steps. It offers excellent attenuation accuracy and high input linearity over the specified frequency range from 100MHz to 6GHz. However, this digital attenuator features external ac grounding capacitors to extend the operation below 100MHz. It is integrated with two dies: a CMOS driver and a gallium arsenide (GaAs) RF attenuator. The CMOS driver provides both serial and parallel control of the RF attenuator. This device also features a user-selectable power-up state and a serial output port for cascading other serial controlled components. It is used in application such as cellular infrastructure, microwave radios and very small aperture terminals (VSATs), test equipment and sensors, intermediate frequency (IF) and radio frequency (RF) designs etc.
- Low insertion loss is 1.6dB typ at (0.1GHz to 3GHz, TCASE = 25°C)
- Excellent attenuation accuracy
- 0.1dB compression is 33dBm typ at (VDD = 3V, TCASE = 25°C)
- Third-order intercept is 55dBm typ at (VDD = 3V to 5V, 10dBm per tone, 1MHz spacing)
- Single-supply operation is 3V to 5V
- CMOS-/TTL-compatible control
- Low phase shift is 25° typ at (100MHz to 3GHz, TCASE = 25°C)
- Operating temperature is -40°C to +85°C
- Package style is 24-lead lead frame chip scale [LFCSP]
