Product Overview
HMC870LC5 is a GaAs MMIC pHEMT distributed driver amplifier. This amplifier provides 17dB of gain, 8Vp-p saturated output swing and features output swing cross point adjustment. Gain flatness is excellent at ±0.5dB as well as very low additive RMS jitter of 300fs for 10Gbps operation. It provides metro and long haul designers with scalable power dissipation for varying output drive requirements. (<lt/>0.4W at Vout = 3.6Vp-p and <lt/>1W at Vout = 8.5Vp-p). It is widely used in application such as 10Gbps NRZ MZ & low VΠ modulator driver, 10Gbps RZ transmission, 40Gbps DQPSK, broadband gain block for test & measurement equipment, military & space etc.
- Wide supply voltage range is 3.3V to 7V
- Adjustable output amplitude is 2.5 to 8Vp-p
- Low DC power consumption is 1W for Vout = 8Vp-p at Vdd = 7V
- Cross point adjustment
- Small signal bandwidth is 30GHz typ at (3-dB cut-off, TA = +25° C, Vdd = 7V, Vctl = 1V)
- Gain is 17.5dB typical at (frequency = 18GHz - 8GHz)
- Saturated output power is 24dBm typ at (frequency = 1GHz - 12GHz, TA = +25° C)
- Input return loss is 20dB typical at (frequency = 1GHz - 10GHz)
- Supply current is 165mA typical at (TA = +25° C)
- Operating temperature is -40°C to +85°C, package style is 32 lead SMT
