Product Overview
DFR0552 is a Gravity I2C 12bit DAC module, which is a small and easy-to-use 12bit digital-to-analogue converter with EEPROM. It can accurately convert the digital value to corresponding analogue voltage signal which is useful in many creative projects and automatic control systems. Although an analogue voltage signal can be generated by PWM with traditional controllers such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi, such signal is rough and not accurate. To obtain a steady and nice analogue voltage signal, the DAC is best candidate. In addition to be applied in automatic control systems, DAC module can be used to serve as a function generator to generate sine, triangular and even arbitrary waveform. Module employs a 12bit DAC MCP4725. It requires no external reference voltage (DAC reference is driven from VCC directly). EEPROM can retain the DAC input while power-off and resume DAC output upon power-on. Typical application includes sensor calibration, automatic control system, function generator.
