Product Overview
PCA9959HN-ARD is a LED driver Arduino® shield evaluation board. The PCA9959HN-ARD Arduino shield allows easy integration with Arduino EVKs to evaluate the LED controller features for colour mixing, blinking and dimming LEDs. A graphical interface allows the user to easily explore the different functions of the driver to create an evaluation system. Each LED output has its own 6bit resolution (64steps) preset current configuration, with an absolution accuracy of ±8%. Typical applications are industrial, keypad backlights, LED displays, RGB or RGBA LED drivers, smart assistance response LED lighting.
- PCA9959: 24-channel SPI serial bus 63mA/5.5V constant current LED driver (power management)
- Support up to four groups of LED gradation control
- Each LED channel assigned to one of four groups
- For each group, PCA9959 supports 64-grid brightness control
- Supply voltage range from 2.7V to 5.5V
- Low standby current (170µA)
- 32mA/5.5V output drive per channel (LED Current), output current adjust through resistor at REXT pin
- 10MHz SPI interface, output enable (/OE) pin interface
- HVQFN40 - plastic thermal enhanced very thin quad flat package
