TMD37193M is an ALS/colour and proximity sensor. It features ambient light and colour (RGB) sensing, flicker detection, and proximity detection. The device integrates three IR VCSELs and an advanced VCSEL driver within a low-profile package. The ambient light and colour sensing function provides six concurrent ambient light sensing channels: Red, Green, Blue, Clear, Leakage, and Wideband. The RGBL and clear channel have a UV/IR blocking filter. This architecture accurately measures ambient light and enables the calculation of illuminance, chromaticity, and colour temperature to manage display appearance. The device integrates direct detection of ambient light flicker for 4 selectable frequency bins. Application includes TMD3719 integrates multiple applications within one device. Applications for TMD3719 include brightness management for displays colour management for displays, camera image processing, flicker-immune camera operation, and touch screen disable.
