ADM4073 is a low cost, high-side, current-sense amplifier ideal for small portable applications, such as cell phones, notebook computers, PDAs, and other systems where current monitoring is required. This device is available in three different gain models, eliminating the need for gain-setting resistors. Because the ground path is not interrupted, this device is particularly useful in rechargeable battery-powered systems, while its wide 1.8MHz bandwidth makes it suitable for use inside battery-charger control loops. The input common-mode range of 2V to 28V is independent of the supply voltage. It is used in applications such as cell phones, PDAs, notebook computers, portable, battery-powered systems, smart battery packs and chargers, automotive, power management systems, PA bias control, general system-level, board-level current monitoring, precision current sources.

- Gain accuracy ±1% typical at (VSENSE = 10mV to 100mV)
- 1.6MHz typical bandwidth at (VSENSE = 100mV, VCC = 12V)
- Power supply rejection ratio is 90dB typical at (VSENSE = 12mV, VCC = 3V to 28V)
- OUT settling time to 1% of final value is 400ns typical at (VSENSE = 6.25mV to 100mV)
- Total output voltage error is ±1% typical at (VSENSE = 100mV, VCC = 12V, VRS+ = 2V)
- Operating temperature is -40°C to +125°C
- Package style is 6-lead SOT-23
