Descrição geral do produto
AD5222 is a increment/decrement dual digital potentiometer. It provides a dual channel, 128position, digitally controlled variable-resistor (VR) device. This device performs the same electronic adjustment function as a potentiometer or variable resistor. These products were optimized for instrument and test equipment push-button applications. It contains two fixed resistors with wiper contacts that tap the fixed resistor value at a point determined by a digitally controlled up/down counter. The resistance between the wiper and either end point of the fixed resistor provides a constant resistance step size that is equal to the end-to-end resistance divided by the number of positions (e.g., RSTEP = 10Kohm/128 = 78 ohm). It is used in applications such as stereo channel audio level control, mechanical potentiometer replacement, remote incremental adjustment applications, instrumentation: gain, offset adjustment, programmable voltage-to-current conversion, line impedance matching etc.
- Potentiometer replacement
- Very low power is 40mA Max
- 62.7V dual supply operation or 2.7V to 5.5V single supply operation
- Increment/decrement count control
- Resistor nonlinearity is ±0.4LSB typical at (VDD = 3V ±10%)
- Power dissipation is 150mW typ at (VIH = 5V or VIL = 0V, VDD = 5V)
- Total harmonic distortion is 0.005% typical at (VA = 1V rms + 2V dc)
- Resistor noise voltage is 14nV√Hz typical at (RWB = 5Kohm, f = 1KHz)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, package style is 14-lead NSOIC
