FSUSB42MUX is a bi-directional, low-power, two-port, high-speed, USB 2.0 (480Mbps) UART switch. Configured as a double-pole, double-throw switch (DPDT) switch, it is optimized for switching between any combination of high-speed (480Mbps) or full-speed (12Mbps) sources. It is compatible with the requirements of USB 2.0 and features an extremely low ON capacitance (CON) of 3.7pF. The wide bandwidth of this device (720MHz) exceeds the bandwidth needed to pass the third harmonic, resulting in signals with minimum edge and phase distortion. Superior channel-to-channel crosstalk also minimizes interference. It contains special circuitry on the switch I/O pins for applications where the VCC supply is powered off (VCC = 0V), which allows the device to withstand an over-voltage condition. Typical applications include cell phones, PDAs, digital cameras, notebooks, LCD monitors, TVs, and set-top boxes.

- Off state leakage range from -2 to 2µA (0 ≤ Dn, HSD1n, HSD2n ≤ 3.6V, TA = 25°C)
- Quiescent supply current is 1µA max (VCNTRL = 0 or VCC, IOUT = 0, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Propagation delay is 0.25ns typ (CL = 5pF, RL = 50 ohm, TA = 25°C)
- Off isolation is -30dB typ (RL = 50 ohm, f = 240MHz, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Typical -3db band width is 720MHz (RL = 50 ohm, CL = 0pF, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- 10 lead MSOP package, operating temperature range from -40 to 85°C
