The RT9078-28GJ5 from Richtek is a 300mA low dropout (LDO) linear regulator without SNS (output voltage sense) pin in 5 pin TSOT-23 package. This regulator with enable function operates from 1.2V to 5.5V. It provides up to 300mA of output current and offers low power operation in miniaturized packaging. The features of low quiescent current as low as 2μA and almost zero disable current is ideal for powering the battery equipment to a longer service life. The RT9078 is stable with the ceramic output capacitor over its wide input range from 1.2V to 5.5V and the entire range of output load current (0mA to 300mA). The minimum required output capacitance for stable operation is 1μF effective capacitance after consideration of the temperature and voltage coefficient of the capacitor. Typical application includes ultra low power microcontrollers, notebook computers, battery powered equipment.

- Fixed output voltage of 2.8V and DC output accuracy of ±2% at ILOAD = 1mA
- 300mA (VIN ≥ 1.7V) output current with EN and low (0.1μA) disable current
- Current limit protection, overtemperature protection, stable with ceramic or tantalum capacitor
- Dropout voltage of 0.16V at 300mA
- VCC consumption current of 2μA and shutdown GND current of 0.1μA
- Line regulation of 0.13% at ILOAD = 1mA and load regulation of 0.5% at 1mA <lt/> ILOAD <lt/> 300mA
- Ambient temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
